2026 Weekly Bonuses

In 2023, the league voted overwhelming to change the $10 bonus each week from “Most Points Scored” to a rotating list of achievements. Below are the achievements chosen by the commissioner for the 2026 season.

Premise

Week 1 – Pocket Aces

Category – Multi-Player
Time Frame – Single Week

Win Condition – The two highest scoring starters on a team will have their point totals for the week added. The highest combined total wins.

Tie-Breaker The eligible starter with the most yards.

Ethos – This challenge rewards teams for rostering multiple good players.

Background – “Pocket Aces” refers to being dealt a pair of Aces as your two private “hole card” in a game of poker. In variations like Texas Hold’em, it is the strongest possible starting hand. In this challenge, your aces are represented by your two highest scoring starters.


Week 2 – Deuce-to-Seven

Category – Multi-Player
Time Frame – Single Week

Win Condition – The team with the most starters who score between 2.0 and 7.0 points inclusive.

Tie-Breaker – The team with the most players, bench included, who have scored between 2.0 and 7.0 points across weeks one and two.

Ethos – This challenge rewards teams who are struggling as well as competitive teams who are top heavy. It also encourages dominant teams to risk playing players they may otherwise bench in an attempt to win both their matchup and the challenge.

Background – Deuce-to-Seven, also called Kansas City Lowball, is a poker variation in which players compete to create the “worst” hand. The strongest possible hand is an unsuited 7-5-4-3-2, from which the variation takes its name.

Week 5 – Razz

Category – Multi-Player
Time Frame – Single Week

Win Condition – Lowest scoring five starters who combine for the least points

Tie-Breaker – Lowest scoring team.

Ethos – Similar to Deuce-to-Seven, this challenge rewards teams who are struggling as well as competitive teams who are single-player dependent.

Background – Razz is stud poker variation in which players compete to create the lowest five-card hand. The strongest possible hand is 5-4-3-2-A. In this challenge, Nilbog coaches compete to create the lowest five-starter hand.

Week 13 – Freezeout

One buy-in. One winner. No second chances.

Freezeout is a survivor-style side game that will run during the 2026 season. The two lowest scoring teams in week one are eliminated. Of the survivors, the two lowest scoring teams in week two will be eliminated.

Starting week three, the single lowest-scoring team will be eliminated each week from the survivors until the winner remains after week thirteen.


Week 14 – Bounty

Big losses and bigger wins.

Each team begins the season with 1 “bounty chip.” An additional bounty chip is added each week.

When a team wins their matchup, they take all the bounty chips held by the loser. The loser will re-start at 1 bounty chip the next week.

The team with the most bounty chips after week fourteen wins a $40 payout.
